Production Update
There was a sudden conflict in the actors schedule and so I can not begin filming until next week, which is not ideal because it gives me less time if I need to refilm anything but I will make it work.
Casting Decisions
I have decided to cast my sister and her friend as the main two characters. The reason being last time I attempted a short film I had those two as my actors and my script then was weak and so the film ended up going off the rails because those two could not be serious for 3 minutes. However I realised all hope was not lost because the footage I got of them being their weird selves was, strong enough on it’s own that I ended up making a like 3 and half minute blooper reel that was much better than anything I could have planned. So with this new film being a comedy, it was obvious I had to choose the two people with the strongest comedy dynamic and hope it goes better than last time because my script is much stronger. I even wrote spaces in the script, and named the characters the same as the actors specifically to allow for the unhinged unscripted natural comedy to shine, because I am not good at writing comedy and I figure it will be much more enjoyable and less painful to let it happen naturally rather than force it.
Script Breakdown
Costumes
Business casual but in the actually looks good trendy way outfit for Dori, probably casual dress with tennis shoes and a cropped sweater.
For Nick he does not own anything semi formal, nice hoodie and jeans
Ms. Lady probably formal pants, nice long sleeve shirt.
Props
Several folders stuffed with papers, the papers will probably be blank.
Car
Fake crime report
Full coffee cup
Technical Equipment
Tripod
Something to stabilize the camera while walking
Extra lighting
Microphones of some sort (?)
Locations
I need a Starbucks, a nice office like area, a street, and a ” home office” type area.

Characters
Dori: Kind of ditzy, stylish, smart, takes on the role of leader when needed.
Nick: He doesn’t know. Not a lot of common sense, awkward, a follower.
Ms. Lady: Professional, stern, knows Nick and Dori are idiots but wants to include them hoping they learn to take some responsibility.
